It is that time of year again! With the holiday's here, and the crazy hustle and bustle of everything starts, I ask one favor. Remember the true reason for the holiday's. Love one another. Give. If you see someone in need, reach a hand out to help. This season is to bring together every social status, nationality, and religion together to spread good will and love. So many times, we get caught up in the rat race of getting the best deal on an XBox or a television that we forget... and go against everything that this is about.
My Thanks- I am thankful that our family is together this year. There have been so many holiday's that it was just me and my kids because daddy was overseas or somewhere else doing his job, and all of our family was across the country. There were no Christmas or Thanksgiving phone calls, because the lines to the phones would be too long, or the phones would be down period. For all of our soldiers and their loved ones, I am so very thankful for you. You are in my thoughts today. I am thankful that my family is healthy. In 2006 my then 6 month old baby boy fell ill and was hospitalized. They told me on Thanksgiving that they didn't know if he was going to live or die. My husband was deployed, and I was more than scared. They ended up diagnosing him with a rare form of Polio, and by the grace of God, he is alive and ornery today with only a messed up leg. In 2007 during this time of year, my oldest son had to have open heart surgery. He is doing good now, and that is the greatest gift of all. So, this time of year is the greatest gift of all for me. I have my husband home, my three kids well and safe, and food to fill our bellies. I am blessed. I am also so very thankful for my new career. I love writing. It is all I have ever wanted to do as far back as I can remember. What makes it perfect is all of my readers. Without all of you, I wouldn't be where I am today. YOU have made my dreams come true. I have also met so many wonderful people that I get the privilege to work with on a daily basis. They are the true meaning of friendship. I have a wonderful publishing company where the owners are not just my boss, but my closest friends. They all guide and lead me through the process, helping me grow and succeed every step of the way. We may not have it all, but we have enough and for that I am thankful. The roof over our head, the food in our bellies, the heat and the water... all things that some take for granted that many don't have. I am thankful. May God bless you all, and give you things to be thankful for to day. Super hugs from our house to yours, and no matter what, know that you are all in my thoughts. Happy Thanksgiving.

Releasing November 27, 2013I couldn't run this on Facebook until I explained a few things. As you all know, the military is dear to my heart. The 12 years my husband served were the most emotional, hardest, life challenging years of our life. Deployments test your faith, your marriage, your strength, and your patience. We went through 3. One was over a year and a half long, one was 9 1/2 months, and one was 14 months. Between them, there were months he was gone doing training exercises in other states etc. This series is from experience, what I have seen, and from the heart. I am opening up every ounce of raw emotion I have, and attempting to deliver it with in the pages to give the world a glimpse of the world our hero's and their families live. Now, in this trailer, I share pieces of our life with you. Some images are actual pictures taken from our personal albums that my husband took while deployed. In each one, there is blood, sweat, tears, joys, and memories. Some of the images are not personal... I will keep that bit to myself. The incredible Gracie Meadows put this together for me, and it will be something I will cherish forever. I hope you enjoy it.
